The reason I decided to get this is because of its coolly simple design and the incredible but true (?) background of the artisit, Mike Egan. 8 inches tall sofubi figure Bones of the probably one time cast. After being made in a factory in Japan, Luke Rook -the owner of Lulubell Toy Bodega in Arizona that handles a lot of Kaiju-sofubi- hand painted it.
And Mike says as follows. "I am a Pittsburgh based artist who has spent time working as an embalmer in funeral homes. My paintings are made using acrylic paint, shellac, wood and nails and tell stories about death, devils and saints. I'm greatly influenced by The Day of the Dead, Halloween, horror films, churches, The German Expressionists and my time in funeral homes".
The release will be around November.
