サイエンス・パトロールの留之助限定・遮光器たち、10月31日発売

ひさしぶりの留之助限定モチャの発売に、メチャモチャ興奮しています。
作者はScience Patrolの屋号で活躍するコリー・プリヴィテラ。
ソフビ工場で働きながら、東京でトイ・デザイナー&プロデューサーとして活動する若手注目株です。
留之助の古くからの友人のAshくんが仲をとりもってくれました。
コリーのキャリアを以下に記しますね。

2014年からワックス原型師として世界中のクライアントと様々なプロジェクトを行なってきました。
2016年からはトイ・デザイナーやワックス原型師としての活動に加え、丸山玩具のソフビ工場でパートタイムとして働きはじめました。
将来彼は、自分で日本のソフビ工場を開くことを目指しています。
サイエンス・パトロールの特徴は、日本製のソフビを手軽な価格で生産すること。
これまで40種類以上のキャラクターを創り出しました。
妖怪やモンスター、動物や古物をモチーフとした作品から、唇のある鳥、日本のゲーム開発者の顔の付いた幼虫、象みたいな鼻の付いたポメラニアン等、誰も欲しがらないようなキャラクターを作っています。

留之助は、そんなコリー作品をこれから積極的に紹介していくつもりです。
で、その第1弾が留之助限定・遮光器たち。
縄文時代につくられた遮光器土偶をモチーフに、一つ目、二つ目、三つ目の3種を全高105〜120ミリの手のひらサイズでかわいくミステリアスに表現しています。
すでに国内外で累計ン100セットも売れたヒット作ですが、留之助限定は特別仕立て。
濃いめのブルーグリーンにメタリックを加えた成形色に、同シリーズ初の彩色マスクを採用し、金色のアクセントが美しい豪華版です。
10月31日（土）23時59分、Tomenosuke.stores.jpで賑々しく発売します。We are really excited to see the first release of a Tomenosuke Exclusive toy in a long time. The creator is Cory Privitera, who is active under the name Science Patrol. He is a young person of note who is active as a toy designer and producer in Tokyo while working at the Sofubi factory. This came to me via my old friend Ash. Cory's career is as follows.

Cory Privitera (Science Patrol) is a Tokyo-based toy designer, producer, and Japanese soft vinyl factory worker. Since 2014 Cory has worked as wax prototyper and has produced dozens of projects for clients all over the world.In 2016, in addition to continuous waxwork and personal toy projects, Cory started working part-time at Maruyama Toy producing Japanese soft vinyl firsthand. In the future, Cory hopes to open his own factory to handle existing and future client.
Science Patrol specializes in their own line of affordable Japanese soft vinyl toys and has released over 40 different characters including various yokai, monsters, animals, and artifacts as well as bird with lips, a larva with the face of a Japanese game developer, and a Pomeranian with a elephant-like trunk that absolutely no one on this earth wanted to buy.

We plan to actively introduce Cory's works from now on. The first is the Tomenosuke Exclusive Shakokitachi. With the motif of snow goggle dogu figures from the Jomon period (BC3000 - BC100), one eye, two eyes and three eyes are palm-sized with height of 105 to 120 mm, and wear cute and mysterious expressions. They're a hit Sofubi product, already selling many hundred sets in Japan and overseas, but this is a Tomenosuke Exclusive model. They are the first in the series to use a spray mask on a dark blue-green color with metallic glitter added, creating a beautiful, luxurious version with gold accents.
