留之助ブラスターOGは、新規金型を採用した度重なるブラッシュアップを経て到達した留ブラの最終形、留之助ブラスター2019のウェザリング・モデルです。2008年12月に発表した留ブラの第1号であるガレージモデルの留ブラOG（便宜上、後付けで "OG" と命名）で実現を試みながら、人手と時間不足で断念した仕様を、遂に製品化しました。
2006年8月にLAで開催された第64回世界SF大会で初公開されたオリジナル・ブラスターの、白く粉を吹いたようなグリップのチェッカリングの再現をはじめ、すべてのパーツにペーパーを当てて全体に艶を抑え、エッジは強めに擦りました。銃全体に見える小さなスクラッチや擦れは意図したものです。またグリップエンドに接するグリップフレームの黒の焼き付け塗装は、オリジナル・ブラスターの特徴を捉え、アルミニウムの地の色が露出するまでヤスリがけしました。気をつけたのは、やり過ぎて汚く見えないよう、程よいウェザリングに留めたことです。
この留ブラOGは、傷が付くのを心配したり、もしかしたら取り扱いに緊張を強いたかもしれないこれまでの留ブラとは異なり、多少乱暴に扱っても平気なモデルといえるかもしれません。留ブラOGを手にした人が遊び、弄った分だけ自然にエイジングされ、自分だけのブラスターに育てていただければ幸いです。OG（original）の意味には、そんな製作者の思いも込められています。
また、原型師・徳信尊が2007年に書き終えた留ブラの原点ともいうべき著しくアナログな手書きの原図を多数、同梱の取説に収録しました。合わせてお楽しみください。

Tomenosuke Blaster OG is a weathered model of Blaster 2019, the final form of the Tomenosuke Blaster, which was created after countless brush ups using new molds. We added all of the things we wanted to put in the first ever Tomenosuke Blaster OG, a garage model released in December 2008 (later named "OG" to distinguish it from the others), but were unable to due to labor and time constraints.
We took the Original Blaster, first released at LA Con IV: The 64th World science Fiction Convention, which was held in LA in August 2006, added the checkered grip pattern that looks like it was made by blowing white powder onto it, sandpapered every part to add shine, and filed the edges to make them more sharp. The small scratches and scrapes you can see all over the blaster were put there deliberately. The blackened grip frame, attached to the grip end, was filed down until you could see the color of the aluminum, like with the Original Blaster. We took extra care to not use more than the appropriate amount of weathering, as we didn't want to go too far and make it look cheap.
Unlike previous Tomenosuke Blasters, where you had to worry about them getting damaged, or perhaps had to be very careful when handling them, the Tomenosuke Blaster OG is a model that would probably be fine even with a bit of rough handling.
We only hope that the people who acquire Tomenosuke Blaster OG age it naturally by playing with it, and make it into their own unique blaster. That intent by the creators is part of the meaning behind OG (original).
The manual enclosed with the blaster includes several hand drawn blueprints, completed by original designer Nobutaka Toku in 2007, that could be called the origin of the Tomenosuke Blaster. Enjoy them together with the Tomenosuke Blaster OG.
